Remote IT Support

This plan is intended to provide Desktop and/or Server Support to effectively become your IT Help Desk Support in a primarily remote environment. No mileage charges unless we go onsite. For more information on what Help Desk functions are, click here
We have attempted to simplify this Support Plan to make it scalable to any client, making an affordable solution to meet your individual need. You dictate how many hours are included in the plan (5hr minimum), which computers we support and what tasks we perform each month.

Remote IT Support Plan

Objective:
This plan aims to provide efficient remote Desktop/Server Support, serving as your dedicated IT Help Desk Support in a primarily remote environment. Mileage charges will only apply if on-site support is required.

Coverage:
This Remote IT Support Plan covers all workstations/servers within your organization that have the Remote Access Client installed. If you prefer not to have a particular computer covered, we will refrain from installing the remote access client on that system.

Hardware:
We do not handle hardware purchases directly. However, we are available to provide research and recommend the best hardware at competitive prices. You will receive links to the recommended hardware, allowing you to directly place orders for the required components.

Services:
We continually expand and enhance the features included in our support plans. One upcoming feature is the implementation of automated reports for attached computers. These reports can provide valuable insights into the hardware components and software applications installed, facilitating upgrade planning.

As part of our Preventative Maintenance services, we will perform the tasks that you select on the preventative maintenance checklist. That can contain disk defragmentation, cleaning cookies & cache, temporary files, scanning for viruses & malware, downloading & install of Windows updates.

To assist with your preventative maintenance program, we will provide a checklist of common tasks along with estimated completion times for each task (see link below).

As part of this plan, you can choose to have your data backed up either to an attached storage device or a cloud storage service. The charges for the backup storage and the backup application itself must be purchased or subscribed to by you. We can assist you through the research process by providing recommended providers and relevant links. Additionally, we will handle the configuration, maintenance, and periodic verification of the backup process, based on the interval you decide.

We are available to assist you with research and planning for hardware, software, and networking upgrades, ensuring that your technology infrastructure remains up-to-date and efficient.

Our desire is to become your Remote IT Help Desk and as such, we will provide you a contact business card for each supported computer so your user will know how to contact us with issues that arise or questions. This contact card will have our Company name, phone number and other methods of requesting help listed on the back.

Pricing:
The pricing structure for the Remote IT Support Plan is as follows:

  • The plan charges are set at $45 per hour with a minimum of 5 hours per month.
  • Any additional hours beyond the plan limit will be billed at $65 per hour in 6-minute increments.
  • Unused hours from the current month will not carry over to the next month.
  • You have the flexibility to choose the number of pre-paid hours you want to purchase for each month’s tasks. If you find that the 5-hour minimum is not sufficient, you can request changes to your plan, which will take effect in the next billing period.
  • At the end of each month, an Invoice will be generated, including the plan amount and any additional hours used during the previous month. For example, if you chose a plan with 10 pre-paid hours and utilized 12 hours of support time in January, you would receive an invoice for $450 (10 hours of pre-paid plan allotment) plus $130 (2 hours over the plan limit billed at $65 per hour). The Invoice terms after the initial Invoice will be Net 30.
  • Each Invoice will provide a detailed breakdown of the work performed, the corresponding computer(s) involved, and the time spent on each task.
  • The plan can be customized to suit your specific needs, both in terms of cost and the tasks to be performed each month.
  • On-site visits will be charged at a rate of $65 per hour, plus any applicable mileage charges.
